About Dr. Jason Snyder

Dr. Snyder earned his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine from the Ohio College of Podiatric Medicine (now the Kent State University College of Podiatric Medicine), after a B.A. in Chemistry with a minor in Biology from Case Western Reserve University.

He completed his surgical residency in forefoot, rearfoot, and reconstructive ankle surgery at Wyckoff Heights Medical Center in Brooklyn, where he served as Chief Resident. He is now an attending surgeon at Wyckoff Heights and serves as Director of Podiatric Surgery at Gramercy Surgery Center.

He has contributed to peer-reviewed podiatric literature on deformity correction, foot tumors, and pediatric lower-limb pathology.

Outside the office he is a committed cyclist who has completed several endurance events. That experience shapes how he thinks about biomechanics and about getting active patients back to what they do.

Approach to care

Most foot and ankle problems do not need surgery, and the ones that do go better when the patient understands why. Dr. Snyder starts with an accurate diagnosis, explains the options plainly, and reserves surgery for problems that have not responded to appropriate conservative care or that will not improve without it.
